May i introduce the 'Mlog'...The evolution of blog

This blogg was quite 2011. Now it's 2012, the last year of the world's existence, and so this blog will take a new form. As world-end 2012 rapidly approaches, I have realised that time is indeed...running out. Blogging takes time, and time is money, thanks to my robbery in bkk I no longer have the latter, and thanks to the Mayans I no longer have the former! Therefore, I will henceforth use this blog as a micro-blog.

What exactly is a micro blog? (or mlog, as I 'coin on the fly'...oh, there I go again). Mlogging is when blogging meets tweetering, which has been made popular by such websites as letpeopleknowwhatyou'reupto.com... Which is obviously where the turn of phrase 'to tweet' derives from!

I will now only, and almost exclusively, regularly post micro-bites of info, similar to dropping a twit on tweeting.com, except all info-crumbs with the same purpose of helping you, the reader, to connect with the travels of me, the writer...or Mlogger, if you will.

If an object, place or person is mentioned in a Mlog, it would be appropriate to say that that thing has been 'Mlogged'...for example, one could say 'oh man, I totally got Mlogged down that alley by a gang last night'...if indeed a whole gang of Mloggers had each individually Mlogged about your location (the alley) at the same approximate time. If this was not the case then you would be unqualified to use the term Mlogged in the example given.

Thanks folks at home. I'll look forward to spending even less time blogging and more time actually enjoying the experiences I will mlog about!

Peace

Inn two thee wild...

Oh Alaska, haven't we had a classy time? I gave you the feeling in my hands and feet for 3 weeks and in return you...

had a guy shoot an actual real life gun in my general direction at a gun shop.

took me snowboarding, showed me an avalanche and put me up in a sweet hotel, Aspen style!

entertained me with an amazing gig by blues legends taj mahal trio.

beat me at pool and made me climb gold dredges.

picked me up hitchhiking many times.

took me on the most beautiful hikes and showed me some more than mediocre scenery.

gave me some close encounters with mooster moose, bear, caribou, reindeer, arctic rabbits and some sneaky bread thieving squirrels!

let me ride a motorcycle on a runway.

gave me my first legitimate earthquake experience.

introduced me to some top quality individuals!

All in all, the last frontier, consider yourself done and done! And mlogged.

Written but not posted...

Just watched sunrise from McDonald's in bkk...a bit different from sunrise from the hill tribe hit we were staying in just 2 nights ago! Also different from watching sunset from the highest point in the country. Oh, you didn't hear?...yeah, we went on a jungle trek in northern tieland...elephont ridings, waterfall slides, camp fires, Burmese cigars, Thai reggae song singing, whitewater rafting and other such fantastic activities!

Thai milk ice tea - research and enjoy.

Off to Melbourne tonight.

Divide and conquer.

Mosstralia - a holiday from travelling

So far so good.

We have been travelling in a campervan up the east coast of Australia. A friend from home joined us on the adventure which saw us camp at a zoo, buy a surfboard, surf at sunrises and sunsets, star gaze on beautiful beaches, get feasted on by Mosquitos, getting in to see a sold out concert at Sydney opera house for 10 bucks. We cry every time we have to buy anything. We have been travelling first class on the pasta train. We are in paradise. Below is city itinerary.

Melbourne identity - meet old man rocks, rent campervan, see awesome reggae hip hop band at st kilda featival

Sid knee - go to Australian open (of surfing), manly beach and bondi, talked our way into seeing il divo live at Sydney opera house.

Brisbanana - burn jim and the van, hostel times again :( Rendezvous with friends we met in thighland, porchin', city beachin', eat kangaroo.

Oh floor...

In all our time floorsitting in bkk, i have found out that western men do not sit well on the floor.

I also accidentally bought salt flavoured toothpaste. But someone stole it the very next day...popular stuff I guess.

Just finished a YWAM camp for child-sized Asian uni students! Head for northern thighland on wed.

One last thing...K-POP is the future! Ben and I have been learning the following groove...

Tongue twister mlog

The disabled disciple disciplined his disappointed daughter for dissing his disco dungarees.

Muh...log #1

During our time singsonging with YWAM in bangkok we have noticed that asians clap on the completely wrong beat. Seriously, try it, get an asian person and try...crazy what treasures of knowledge you collect while on the road!

(One could now say 'dude, YWAM totally just got Mlogged')
